World Entertainment News Network--2002 SCOOBY-DOO star LINDA CARDELLINI has questioned her character VELMA DINKLEY's sexuality - but swears clues about her orientation will be kept out of the movie.

LEGALLY BLONDE star Linda admits she shot scenes which support long-held fan theories that ghost-hunter Velma is a lesbian. Linda explains, "There were some interesting scenes that ended up having to go.

"There was one scene where Velma sings and dances on a piano after she's had a few, um, special drinks. She sings CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU and we don't know if she's singing to DAPHNE or FRED!"

And Linda's sexy co-star SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR is keeping her fingers crossed that fans will get a chance to see then smooch.

Sarah says, "We did kiss, it got cut. We hope they'll add it in the DVD."

She adds, "Initially, in the soul-swapping scene, Velma and Daphne couldn't seem to get their souls back and so the way they found was to kiss, and their souls went back into their own bodies."

The film's bosses maintain the lesbian content was removed because Scooby-Doo is aimed at families.
